SKEET UPDATE by C Lancaster
Northern Skeet Diary Update by Chris Lancaster - 18 February 2007
Sunday 18 February 2007
Oxton Shooting School/A614
Whilst it may have been a lovely sunny day in the Northern Region, it was decidedly cloudy with only chinks of bright light at Oxton Shooting School.
Robert Jones, having taken my comments to heart last week and proving that whilst he is getting on in years he still has the fighting spirit to put in a good 100 straight - No chips, no vinegar. Steve Leppington, Billy Perry and Andrew Parsons all shot good 98's whilst this week it was Gary Cooke dragging his feet with a 97. Mick Cooke and Chris Lancaster both managed to put in a respectable 96.
Proving ever competitive Steve Leppington and Gary Cooke went out to shoot "the better" targets at A614, both improving their score from the first shoot. Gary shooting a good 100 straight (he must have known what I would write from the first shoot) and Steve 99.
Well done to you all and special congratulations to Robert and Gary for keeping up the high standards being set by our Northern Regional English Skeet Shooters.
