SKEET DIARY 2007
Northern Skeet Diary Update by Chris Lancaster – 1 April 2007
Sunday 25 March 2007
And the Tons keep rolling in……….
Steve Leppington tamed them all at the North of England Clay Target Centre. Roger Beaumont hit two less on 98 whilst Graham Welsh finished in 97. Robert Jones travelled down to Northampton again and cleaned up down there.
Well done to Steve and Robert.
Sunday 1 April
North of England Clay Target Centre
The first North of England Skeet Team Selection Shoot was held at the North of England Clay Target Centre. A sunny but chilly day awaited us all with a gusty wind blowing the targets any which way as could be seen from the scores, making several shooters feel like April Fools (me included!) That Steve Leppington and James (Billy) Perry shared top spot on 97 says it all, with young Sam McGonigal third on 95.
Robert Jones retained the Lancashire County Shield beating David Hornby by one; it is always just the one!
A614/Oxton
Some of the shooters decided to travel down to see what the targets were like at A614 after shooting at NoECTC. Billy faired the best of all on a 99 whilst Gary shot a 97 (I think Gary was still shaking his head from Rufforth!) Derek Wilson also shot a 97 at A614 and Oxton Shooting School.
