YORKSHIRE SKEET TEAM SUCCESS
The 'Team Yorkshire' Seniors Skeet Team won the National Intercounties title held at Northampton on 7th October. In perfect conditions, the team of Steve Leppington, Gary Cooke, James Perry, Andrew Parsons and Roger Beaumont put in a final score of 489 ex 500 to tie with Suffolk.
Team captain Steve commented "The shoot off was quite tense because it went straight to pairs off the middle peg so there was no room for error, but it went right for us on the day - we had such a strong team it was great to bring the trophy back to Yorkshire."
The Yorkshire Ladies Team, Sue Tyas, Chris Lancaster and Wendy Taylor together with the Juniors Team, Sam McGonigal, Tim Webster and Peter Denton were both runners up. Tim Webster added Colts High Gun to his impressive and ever-growing list of wins this season.
If there had been a trophy for 'team having the most fun' then Yorkshire would definitely have won that too! Congratulations to all the Teams!
