IRON MAN STEVE
The Oxton/UK 'Skeet Iron Man 2008 Competition' held over the May Bank holiday was won by Yorkshire's Steve Leppington. This is the fourth time Steve has taken this trophy home in as many years.
The marathon of 400 targets was shot over the two days in remarkably still, sunny weather conditions where Steve posted a total score of 394 with second place going to Robert Jones on 391. Ladies title went to newcomer Wendy Taylor also from Yorkshire.
Not content with shooting a mere 400 targets Steve went on to take the 'Three Counties Championship' also held at Oxton with a perfect 100 straight! Doesn't get much better!
