Yorkshire Championship - Skeet

Another wet Sunday Morning for the skeet shooters at the NOECTC which hosted the Yorkshire
Championships combined with a Northern region selection shoot. A brilliant turn out with over nine squads competing.
The 2008 Yorkshire Champion is Gary Cooke (98+25) after a shoot out with Andy Parsons.
The ladies title went to Wendy Taylor (95), Veterans to Brian Royston (97),and the Juniors to Sam McGonical (95). High scores considering the wet conditions - congratulations to you all.

The overall high gun for the day was shared between relative newcomers from Co Durham, Lee Jackson (AA) and James Tinkler (B) both with a very
impressive 99. (There must be something in the water up there? Possibly whisky!) D Snape took A class with 98.

Two new juniors have appeared on the scene - Scott Heathfield who shot a 93and Stephen Toward with a 94. Both credible scores under the conditions.

All this bodes well for a very strong NOE Team.
