North of England Skeet Selection shoots report by Eric Bell
Two selection shoots have taken place, The first at East Yorkshire GC And the second at Bywell.
High guns at East Yorkshire were Garry Cooke and Robert Jones, each with 100 straight.
The only 100 straight at Bywell was by Steve Leppington. A new junior has appeared on the scene 16 year old Chris Gardner (pictured
above) with a credible 97 at East Yorks and a 98 at Bywell. Very good scores in breezy conditions.
His brother is no slouch either but will be in Newzealand at the time of the British Open.
Also new to the skeet scene is a lady shooter D Testas Varela with a 92 at East Yorks
And leading lady at Bywell with a 96.
I have to mention Dave Deacon recovering from a serious road accident shot a personal best 97 at
Bywell. He wont be in C class for much loger. I am pleased to say.
