Cape Town in South Africa has an exquisite and delicious magnetism like no other city. It is now ranked amongst the top tourist cities in the world, including Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, San Francisco and other delightful destinations.

The DTL Trap World Championship is being held at Valley Gun Club near Paarl which is approximately 35 minutes drive from Cape Town. Valley Gun Club is arguably our country's premier Clay Target Club with over 200 members, who enjoy all disciplines of clay busting, including the Olympic disciplines.

The facilities at Valley Gun Club are superb and run on an efficient and professional basis. A full time manager ensures that all the shooting ranges are fully operational and together with a compliment of highly motivated and enthusiastic volunteers, the clubhouse and ancillary services are supplied to a thriving and bustling membership.

Most of the Organising Committee, if not all, have travelled overseas to various international events (including World DTL Championships) and have taken cognizance of what works and what doesn't when organizing such a prestigious event.

There will be twelve Trap ranges for the championship and preliminary events, plus two practice ranges. All will be equipped with new traps and fully functional acoustic release systems. Technicians will be in place to handle any glitches and gremlins.

Valley Gun Club is already renowned for its superb organizational skills, excellent catering and fantastic hospitality. With all the gorgeous local suppliers of superb award-winning wine, succulent olives, tasty cheese and other local fresh produce, Valley Gun Club is at the heart of gastronomic heaven. There are multitudes of top class restaurants all across the winelands and Cape Town area.

Ammunition will be for sale at Valley Gun Club, together with safe storage facilities.
